Objects I made from free online tutorials

Clothes and Accessories for Babies and Kids

Newborn beanie

Jen of Tie Dye Divas made this free pattern for a cute baby hat. Pattern can be found here.

I made some adjustments and added some ear flaps.
Somehow my kids kept taking their beanies off :o/

A bunch of burp clothes.

Flannel or terry cloth on one side, cotton prints on the other.
I used Ruby's easy tutorial.

Cheri's Upcyled Boy Hats tutorial.

Perhaps one of my favorits ever.
She blogges at i am momma hear me roar.

And another hat...

The 4-in-1 Reversible Toddler Bucket Hat.
Free pattern and tutorial of Abby over at Sew Much Ado.

And a more manly version :o)

Amy's pattern for a cute Kimono Shirt

(that I used to make new pjs.)

I made some matching pants, too.

Fold 'n go travel bibs.

Erica of B is for Boy wrote this cool tutorial.

You can put wet whipes and/or kid's cutlery in the pocket on the back...

... fold it twice, close the snap and you're done!

Kid's pool robe.

Made for my youngest for his first Beach Holiday.
The tutorial was published at Sew Mama Sew.

The pool robe is made of a towel that had an embroidered company logo in one of the corners. The towel sat unused in my closet for quite some time (years!) and was put to good use at last...

Ric Rac Receiving Blanket

(for my first nephew).
I used Abby's tutorial that she blogged at Sew Much Ado.
Flannel on both sides. Oh so cosy!
Scarcely quilted with a wavy decorative stitch of my sewing machine to attach the layers.
I guess this is going to be my go-to future baby shower gift :o)

two little whales

One of my very first sewing projects.
Pattern can be found here

Birthday bunting

Super easy tutorial of Candance from Saltwater Quilts

Bags, totes and purses

Lunch Bag.

Free Tutorial by Ayumi

Big pencil case.

Free pattern and tutorial here.

Little boxy pouch by Three Bears.

Fabric Basket

I made this fabric basket adjusting a free tutorial that is (currently?!) unavailable.
I will have to doublecheck if it's entirely gone or I will have to write my first tutorial including the changes I made :o)

edited to add: I couldn't find it and I wrote my only fabric basket tutorial.

Triangular Pouch

I found this free and easy pattern over at Mama Rafifs Blog

Shark Bag

I made this super cool boy-ish tote from this tutorial

Patchwork and small quilted objects

Geta Grama's Fabric Boxes Tutorial.

My first patchwork-y project ever:

Mug Rug

First attempt at quilt-making.I found John Q. Adams' (aka Quiltdad) Quilt Along for a wonky log cabin quilt. BUT I didn't want to start a "real" quilt for fear of disliking the process. So I just made one block for a Mug Rug. I was hooked at once. I didn't stop at one, I made four! And I'm a quilting addict ever since :o)

Fabric boxes

Quilted Coasters

I used free block tutorials of Elizabeth Hartman's catventalong for these coasters.
